Addressing Damaged Decking and Complex Roof Features

The primary challenge of this Willow Creek project was uncovering and addressing the compromised foundation beneath the old shingles. Once the initial tear-off was completed, it became clear that sections of the underlying wood decking were damaged and required immediate replacement to ensure structural integrity. Additionally, the home's large masonry chimney required special attention to prevent future water pooling and leaks, necessitating custom trim and structural adjustments.

Our Solution

Comprehensive Tear-Off, Decking Repair, and Expert Installation

To provide a permanent solution, the Upstate Roofing team began with extensive plywood labor, cutting and installing fresh wood panels to create a solid, flawless deck. Next, we applied a premium GAF TigerPaw synthetic roof deck protection over the entire surface to guarantee a superior moisture barrier.

Our experienced installers then went to work laying down the high-quality architectural shingles, carefully navigating ridges and valleys. To solve the chimney drainage issue, we built and installed a custom chimney cricket, directing water safely away from the masonry. Finally, we executed all necessary trim labor and ensured the property was spotless by hauling away and dumping all old wood and debris.
